Please join John Hawkins Texas Hospital Association President& CEO. \n  \n \nJohn M. Hawkins took the helm as president and chief executive officer of the Texas Hospital Association on Jan. 1\, 2022. He is the organization’s sixth CEO since its inception in 1930. A longtime advocacy veteran\, Hawkins has more than 35 years of experience in legislative\, leadership and policy circles and has deep knowledge of health care and hospital funding issues. As CEO\, he represents the Texas hospital industry locally and nationally and helps ensure hospitals have the resources they need to deliver the highest quality health care to all Texans. \nOver the years\, Hawkins has fostered critical relationships among business\, consumer and medical communities and continues to position THA as a thought leader and single\, powerful voice for Texas hospitals. \nPrior to being named CEO\, Hawkins served as THA’s senior vice president of advocacy and public policy since 2004. With a long tenure at the association\, his team consistently secured important resources for Texas health care\, including hospital Medicaid rates\, funding for trauma and behavioral health services\, funding for workforce training and protections for the state’s critical safety net Medicaid supplemental payment programs. Hawkins’ team also was an integral force during the COVID-19 pandemic\, helping to secure staffing\, supplies\, vaccines and flexibilities for hospitals to keep patients safe. \nBefore to joining THA\, Hawkins had a key role in streamlining state agencies at the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission\, where he managed teams of analysts and testified on issues for the commission. He also gained early experience as a legislative staffer in the Texas House of Representatives and as a legislative liaison at the Texas Department of Information Resources. \nIn 2020\, Hawkins completed a six-month immersive hospital residency program at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest\, where he gained hands-on hospital operations experience\, shadowing leadership\, interacting with staff and participating in governing board activities. \nHawkins graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in government. Javier oversees the implementation and direction in 14+ hospitals\, in two states\, the HCA Corporate Compliance Program. Responsible for leading and/or providing guidance to the Facility Ethics and Compliance Officers in the day-to-day activities related to Ethics and Compliance\, Privacy\, ADA\, and Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion. \n  \nThis followed his time at Children’s Health one of the largest pediatric non-profit health systems in the U.S.\, where Javier was the Senior Vice President\, Chief Compliance Officer leading the Corporate Compliance Program and maintained strategic oversight of seven additional departments. He was responsible for Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs activities at the system level for three hospitals – a 490-bed pediatric academic hospital\, a 72-bed community/academic pediatric hospital and a 39-bed specialty hospital; system-wide accreditation programs that included readiness of more than 52 ambulatory clinics; eight disease-specific certificated programs; and Internal Audit\, Privacy\, Emergency Management\, Environmental Safety\, Occupational Health and Policy Administration. In this role\, he ensured policies and procedures\, licensing\, governmental and other regulatory body requirements were consistently maintained\, and all areas of operations were patient-ready and in compliance with state and federal regulations. He also served as the system COVID-19 Incident Commander. Earlier at Children’s Health\, Javier worked his way from Director to Vice President\, Accreditation\, Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Compliance. \n  \nEarlier in his career\, Javier was at Texas Health Resources\, one of the largest faith-based\, nonprofit health systems in U.S. and the largest in North Texas in terms of inpatients and outpatients served\, where Javier was Director of Quality Improvement – Presbyterian Hospital of Allen (TX). He was responsible for directing\, managing and monitoring all Quality and Risk Management procedures and processes for a 62-bed hospital\, including patient safety and department assessments. He provided administrative oversight to Case Management\, Social Services\, Guest Services and Volunteer Services Departments\, and served as the hospital HIPAA/Compliance Security Officer and on the corporate Compliance/Privacy Committee. Prior to this at Texas Health Resources\, Javier was Director of Quality Improvement Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital in Stephenville\, TX\, where he was responsible for managing and directing all Quality and Risk Management procedures and processes for a 98-bed hospital. \n  \nAnd the Facility Compliance Officer at Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio\, TX\, where he was responsible for Regulatory Compliance for a 286-bed hospital\, including reviewing all compliance activities\, employee-related issues\, conflicts of interest and patient confidentiality. \n  \nJavier earned a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law at Loyola University Chicago\, a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas A&M University. He was in the Class of 2017 for Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas program and completed a certification in Dispute Resolution at Southern Methodist University in University Park\, TX. He is Just Culture certified\, as well as certified in Health Care Compliance. \n  \n“The time is now or never to make a difference in today’s society; we all face difficult apprehensions and live through them but learning from them is what makes us better.” \n  \nMelanie Benitez Roberts is the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at Parkland Health. Parkland has been serving the Dallas community for more than 128 years as one of the largest public hospital systems in the country. The hospital averages more than 1 million patient visits annually. Services include a Level I Trauma Center\, the first verified burn center in North Texas and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The system also includes a network of community-based health centers\, including primary care and women’s clinics\, 5 school-based health centers and numerous outreach and education programs. Parkland is the primary teaching hospital for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. \n  \nMrs. Roberts has more than 28 years of healthcare experience in regulatory compliance\, operations and quality management. She has served in various compliance roles Tenet Healthcare\, Ochsner Health Plan and United Healthcare. Mrs. Roberts received her Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University and Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science and Sociology from Loyola University New Orleans. She is Certified in Healthcare Compliance\, Healthcare Privacy Compliance and Healthcare Research Compliance and is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE). Ms. Roberts currently serves as Chair for the North Texas Ethics and Compliance Council (NTECC). \n  \nDr. Mark Schnitzer is an experienced Surgeon\, Educator\, Physician Advisor\, Medical Director\, and Consultant. \n  \nAn interest in processes and mathematics led him to pursue an unlikely course of pre-medical study: electrical engineering. It was during his Ph.D. studies that he applied to medical school and completed his MSEE and MD concurrently. He completed his clinical training in neurological surgery and a fellowship in neurosciences critical care at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. His final year at Johns Hopkins was in the role of Assistant Chief of Service. \n  \nAfter fifteen years in solo\, private neurosurgical practice and medical staff governance roles\, he was recruited to Hawaii as the sole\, full-time neurosurgeon for Kaiser Permanente with the mandate to set the groundwork for a completely internalized program. That experience led to his invitation to serve as the inaugural medical director of neurosciences and an ambitious project to unify the neurosciences programs across the government hospitals in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Once this unification was well underway\, the program was handed off to the Cleveland Clinic. Subsequently\, he served as the inaugural CMO for a start-up telemedicine company in Dubai and as an adjunct associate professor in a graduate program for healthcare administration. \n  \nHe returned to the USA after four years in the Middle East and took on the role of physician advisor for SSM Health. Initially accountable for one hospital\, he was elevated to a regional\, multi-hospital role where he was accountable for insurance denial management including education of clinicians in evidence-based medicine and responsible stewardship as well as holding numerous roles in quality improvement projects. \nMost recently\, he has taken on the role of medical director for a large accountable care organization based in Dallas\, TX. \n  \nDr. Schnitzer is a Fellow of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians and is board certified in healthcare quality and management with added qualification as a Physician Advisor. He is a certified professional in healthcare quality by the National Association for Healthcare Quality and is certified by the American Society for Quality as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Additionally\, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. \n  \nDr. Schnitzer has provided a number of invited publications and presentations in the areas of healthcare informatics\, patient safety\, and responsible stewardship and he serves as a senior examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. \n  \nDr. Schnitzer considers himself an interface professional\, like most clinicians who have transitioned into healthcare leadership roles. She joined UT Health East Texas in June of 2020 as the executive responsible for both services lines. With a focus on person-centered care and quality improvement\, she provides strategic direction to the health care system and establishes a cohesive organizational and governance structure that supports the UT Health East Texas care continuum. In addition\, she provides oversight for clinical activities and programs; ensures the ﬁnancial viability of oncology and cardiovascular initiatives; and works to establish collaborative relationships among departments\, physicians\, medical groups\, business partners and the community. \n  \nIn her previous role with SCL Health System\, she served for over five years as Vice President of Oncology and Cardiovascular Services in Colorado and Montana. He has served his community by leading improvement in health\, quality of life\, and through volunteerism and philanthropy. \n  \nIn 2021\, Guy joined the UT Health East Texas region of hospitals as UT Health Pittsburg Chief Executive Officer. Hunter\, PhD\, MPH\, FACHE is a public-health trained\, hospital administrator with experience across multiple healthcare settings. She holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelors of Science in Community Public Health from Texas A&M University in College Station\, Texas. \n  \n  \nDr. Trevor Rohm currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Hereford Regional Medial Center in Hereford\, West Texas. Denzil has served on the boards of Make A Wish of South/Central Texas and New Mexico\, American Heart Association NM\, APS Advisory Group\, and Western Governors University Advisory Board. \n  \nVesta Sandoval\, M.D.\, is Chief Medical Officer of Lovelace Medical Center. \nAs an integral part of the Lovelace family\, Dr. Sandoval has served as past Chief of Staff at Lovelace Medical Center\, Chair of the Ethics Committee\, and served as chair or member of Critical Care\, Stroke\, Peer Review and Credentials Committees. Melissa received her B.S. in Business Management from Dowling College/Long Island University\, NY and her Master in Health Administration degree at the University of Texas at Tyler. She currently resides in Frisco\, TX with her husband and their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. \n  \n  \nRichard Doane is a Director at Premier working as a part of the Strategic Collaboratives team. In this role\, Richard has developed subject matter expertise related to all aspects of Medicare ACOs and other network-level total cost of care models (Next Generations ACO\, Direct Contracting) including advocacy\, development\, operations\, regulatory compliance\, and performance improvement. He has led numerous strategy sessions\, executive / board presentations\, and detailed capabilities assessment to best position member ACOs for success in value-based care and payment. \nPrior to joining the population health team Richard spent three years within the cost management division of Premier’s Performance Partners. There he managed many projects\, from small labor benchmarking engagements to large operational transformation projects. He also served as a labor subject matter specialist for several projects. During this time\, he also developed best practice methodologies and tools for completing labor centric projects. \nRichard received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University with a minor in Business Administration. He also received a Master of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. Richard is a certified black belt in Lean/Six Sigma. He also received an individual Premier Values Award in 2014 and a Premier Team Values Award in 2014\, 2016\, 2017\, 2019\, and 2021. \n  \n  \nRoger N. Fowler\, MD\, is the Vice-President\, Chief Medical Director of Quality\, Performance and Innovation at CHRISTUS Health. \nRoger began solo Family Medicine Practice in Kilgore\, Texas\, from October 1981 until November 1996. He provided full spectrum Family Medicine care\, including ambulatory\, inpatient\, emergency department\, obstetrics including deliveries and c-sections\, minor surgery\, nursing homes\, and home visits. In 1996\, he joined the newly formed Trinity Clinic\, an employed physician group that had incorporated 1 year earlier and was part of the integrated Trinity Mother Frances Health System. \nIn November 2005\, he moved his practice to Lindale\, Texas\, to open a new concept “health park” for TMF and the Trinity Clinic\, practicing only ambulatory care in Family Medicine as well as Urgent Care. He ceased with direct patient care January 31\, 2017\, as he assumed a full-time administrative role with CHRISTUS Health. \nWhile with the Trinity Clinic\, he served many governance and clinical leadership roles including Trinity Clinic Board member for 9 years\, serving the last 5 years as Chairman. He served on various committees including Finance\, Customer Service and Quality. He provided medical leadership for the PCMH recognition for all of primary care in 2011. The Clinic achieved Level III PCMH recognition for all 120 primary care providers. \nHe served as Chief of Primary Care for 2 years from 2012-2014\, until assuming full responsibility for Population Health for the Trinity Clinic. \nHe envisioned\, launched and provided leadership for the department of Population Health for the Trinity Clinic in January 2015 until joining CHRISTUS Health in February 2017 as Chief Medical Director of Population Health and Health Plans\, CMO for the CHRISTUS Health Quality Care Alliance (ACO) and CHRISTUS Quality Network (CIN). \nBeginning in November of 2019\, Roger also became involved with the CHRISTUS Health Plan (CHP) and assumed leadership for the Pharmacy and Quality Improvement departments for the CHP. Subsequently\, his role expanded in May of 2021 when the Medical Management Department also came under his leadership. \nRoger is married to Patty Fowler for 34 years. Patty is now a “crafter” after a career as a Physical Therapist Assistant. We have a blended family of 3 boys and 1 girl with 3 grandchildren. We love spending time with family. For recreation\, Roger spends time in pursuit of fitness\, especially running for the past 43 years\, and golf. \nWe have been Blessed and acknowledge our Christian beliefs. We worship in the Episcopal Church at Church of the Apostles in Coppell\, Texas. \n  \nWilliam Scott Hurst\, MBA\, FACHE is currently the President & CEO of Patient Physician Network (PPN)\, one of the largest IPA’s in North Texas with over 600 physician members. In this role\, he works with teams of dedicated physicians\, staff and caregivers to advance independent medicine by driving clinical integration\, value-based care initiatives\, patient experience improvement and cost reductions in the provision of care. To date\, these efforts have returned over $4 million in savings to its members in just seven years. \nScott is an accomplished leader with over 20+ years of experience in Physician Alignment\, Contracting\, Quality & Performance Improvement\, Hospital & Clinical Operations\, Provider Recruitment\, Patient Experience and Value-Based Care Operations for several well-known systems in the DFW metroplex. \nPrevious to being recruited to PPN\, Scott served as an Executive Director overseeing operations in Texas and Louisiana for naviHealth\, an industry leader in value-based care operations for health systems and health plans servicing Medicare patients. \nOver his career\, Scott has been blessed to serve as a Project Leader at Methodist Health System; the Senior Director of Physician Networks at Children’s Health in Dallas; a Director of Physician Alignment at CHRISTUS Spohn Health System in Corpus Christi\, TX and as a consultant for over 10 years to hospitals in the Midwest\, Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Mr. Bujnowski’s healthcare career spans over 15 years. He focuses on developing innovative enterprise strategies that enable integrated delivery networks and their leaders to create lasting competitive advantage. He also helps PE firms to effectively make buy- or sell-side decisions and deliver increased value through their portfolio companies. \nPrior to joining The Chartis Group\, Mr. Bujnowski was the system Chief Strategy Officer at Texas Health Resources\, where he spent nearly nine years. He was responsible for developing and implementing strategies across the entire enterprise\, including acute\, post-acute\, ambulatory\, physician\, consumer\, and value-based approaches. His experience also includes more than four years with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG)\, where he served as a core member of BCG’s strategy and healthcare practices. He was also a founding member of BCG’s PE practice\, spending time on Wallstreet working on deals with many of the country’s largest PE firms. Mr. Bujnowski previously held various leadership positions in new venture development and innovation at The Dow Chemical Company for more than nine years. \nWhile at Chartis\, Mr. Bujnowski has worked with large IDNs on major strategic efforts\, including enterprise strategy development and implementation\, service line strategy and structure\, consumer strategy\, and strategic and community partnership development. Fisher is the Executive Assistant to the Director at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS).  In this role\, Mr. Fisher reports to the Medical Center Director and has responsibility for Strategic Planning\, VA-DoD Sharing Agreements\, Joint Incentive Fund proposals\, and numerous special projects. \nMr. Fisher received a Bachelor of Administration in Business Management from Texas A&M University in 1991\, and a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in 1994.  He entered the VA as an administrative resident through the Graduate Healthcare Administration Training Program (GHATP) in Brooklyn\, NY\, and later served as the Executive Secretary of the GHATP Board for almost 10 years. \nMr. Fisher joined the STVHCS in 1995 as the Administrative Officer at the VA Outpatient Clinic in Corpus Christi. Following this assignment\, Mr. Fisher served as Executive Assistant to the Director at the STVHCS from 1997 through 2006.  In 2006 Mr. Fisher was appointed the Strategic Programs Manager of the STVHCS which has since evolved into his current role. \nMr. Fisher received an Honorable Discharge as a Captain from the U.S. Army Reserves in 2010\, having served with the 228th Combat Support Hospital\, the 5th Brigade/95th Division\, and the 4th Brigade/100th Division. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEric D. Jacobsen is the Associate Director and Chief Operating Officer at VA North Texas where he manages numerous administrative departments and sections. \nMr. Jacobsen began his career at VA in 1999 as a supervisory health system specialist and worked in a variety of leadership roles. \nMr. Jacobsen received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 and completed a Master of Science in Health Care Administration at Trinity University in San Antonio\, Texas in 1999. \nHe is a graduate of VA’s Executive Career Field Training Program and is Board Certified in Healthcare Management and a Fellow in ACHE with experience in healthcare operations\, public health initiatives/crisis management\, quality and performance metrics\, provider networks\, financial management\, strategic and tactical planning\, and improving patient satisfaction. \n  \nGeorge T. Roberts\, Jr.\, has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Northeast Texas Public Health District since November 2006. The Northeast Texas Public Health District (NET Health) is a local Health Department established by the City of Tyler and Smith County. Services provided by NET Health include Community Outreach\, Disease Surveillance\, Environmental Health\, Immunization\, Tuberculosis Control\, Public Health Emergency Preparedness\, Regional Laboratory\, Vital Statistics\, and the WIC (Women\, Infants\, and Children) Program. NET Health has started and participated in many community collaboratives including Fit City Tyler whose Mission is to make Tyler a Fit City “One Step\, One Bite and One Health-Conscious Decision at a Time”. NET Health primarily serves Tyler and Smith County but also provides some services in 21 counties in East Texas. The WIC Program serves a 20-county area and Public Health Emergency Preparedness serves a 7-county region. Most recently\, Mr. Roberts and his Team have been leading the Community response to the COVID 19 Pandemic and the COVID 19 Vaccination effort. \nMr. Roberts has over 40 years of health care experience\, the majority of which was spent in hospital administration\, having previously served at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas\, Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler\, and Henderson Memorial Hospital in Henderson\, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas\, TX and his Master of Health Administration from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis\, MO. He is Past President of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Board of Directors\, and he also has served as President of the Texas Association of City and County Health Officials (TACCHO). He is the President of the Texas Health Institute Board of Directors\, and he currently serves on the Board of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce\, Carter BloodCare\, and the Piney Woods Regional Advisory Council (RAC) Area G. Prior to that\, Ms. Dorsey also served as Conifer’s Senior Director of Talent Acquisition and Tenet Healthcare Recruitment Manager. \n  \nAdditionally\, Stacy has recruitment\, training and system analyst experience with Texas Health Resources\, Ardent Health Services\, Inc.\, Cook Children’s Healthcare System and Modis Professional Services. \nMs. Dorsey has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from Iowa State University. \n  \nIrina Plumlee’s immigration practice focuses on business and family immigration. \nShe represents her clients in a variety of immigration matters\, including the following: international executive and managerial personnel transfers; E proceedings for international entrepreneurs; H-1B\, TN and L-1 petition proceedings for foreign executives and managers\, IT specialists\, doctors and professional workers in major industries; and employment and family-based permanent immigration proceedings. She also has experience representing clients in matters concerning employers’ I-9 compliance and fairness in employment practices. \nIrina previously served as a member of Munsch Hardt’s Management Committee. \n  \n\nAs Chief of Staff\, Courtney Rottman\, J.D.\, M.P.S.A.\, is a key member of the President’s executive team\, working closely with the President\, the executives who report to the President\, and the President’s Office staff to monitor\, facilitate\, and support the execution of the President’s goals and priorities for UT Southwestern Medical Center. She serves as a key adviser to the President; as a consultant to senior leaders\, faculty\, and staff on a wide range of issues; and as the President’s personal representative on various Medical Center task forces and groups. Ms. Rottman also is responsible for the Policy Office\, which reviews and updates UT Southwestern campus-wide policies and makes them accessible through a centralized electronic Policy Library. \nMs. Rottman joined UT Southwestern in September 2020 from ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital\, where she was Senior Director\, Enterprise Operations and the Chief of Staff for the Chief Operations Officer. She served as an Enterprise Operations team adviser\, representative\, and liaison on behalf of the COO in multiyear strategic plan development and large-scale business operations improvement and transformation efforts. Ms. Rottman worked across the organization to build relationships\, lead enterprise projects\, generate and steward operations innovation efforts\, help define and execute enterprise goals\, and lead risk mitigation and revenue efforts. Previously\, she served as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Development Officer of ALSAC. \nPrior to joining ALSAC in 2015\, Ms. Rottman served in leadership roles at global social innovators such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure\, Travelocity.com\, and Baylor Scott & White Health. Through these opportunities\, she gained extensive experience building and transforming private and public sector organizations in areas such as fundraising operations\, global strategic sourcing\, business development\, program and performance analysis\, integrated marketing\, and contract and grant management. She is currently the principal investigator on HRSA R40 MCH award (1-year\, $100\,000) “Exploratory Analysis of the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System to Identify Modifiable Factors Related to Adverse Pregnancy and Birth Outcomes.” \nPreviously\, as full-time MCW faculty\, Homan was co-investigator on the $5mil REDIRECT project funded by the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin endowment. She was also co-investigator on the Childhood After Heart-Lung Failure: The Risk Environment and Impact of Mechanical Circulatory Support on Functional Outcomes funded by the Herma Heart Institute and the Children’s Research Institute. She was appointed co-chair of the ethics advisory committee and provided clinical ethics consultation for Children’s Wisconsin as well as facilitated bi-monthly Schwartz Rounds®. \nDr. Homan has held an adjunct faculty appointment in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Systems at the School of Public Health\, University of North Texas Health Science Center teaching the required course ethical issues in public health since 2015. \nDr. Homan co-founded and is the immediate past president of the Bioethics Network of the Upper Midwest (BENUM). She serves on the City of Milwaukee Health Department’s fetal and infant mortality review and previously served as a reviewer and advisor for the Central Oklahoma Fetal Infant Mortality Review. Mary previously held the role of chair for the maternal and child health section for the Oklahoma Public Health Association and was a gubernatorial appointment to the Oklahoma Health Research Committee\, Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science & Technology. \nPreviously Dr. Homan held health care ethics leadership roles at Mercy (Oklahoma) and SCL Health (Kansas). \nDr. Homan earned degrees at Saint Louis University (BA\, theological studies\, 2004)\, Aquinas Institute of Theology (MA\, systematic theology\, 2006)\, Creighton University (MS\, health care ethics\, 2013) and the University of Oklahoma (DrPH\, health administration and policy\, 2017). Jared’s role is responsible for leading strategic efforts to identify cost-saving and additional revenue opportunities for Parkland. Also\, Jared is actively involved in Parkland’s fight against the Covid pandemic. Jared helped lead the activation of one of the first testing drive-thrus in the country in March of 2020\, with the ability to test hundreds of people per day. He has worked as an executive in progressive leadership roles within Texas Health Resources since 2010\, first at Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth and then Texas Health Plano\, before moving to THHEB. \nIn his current role\, Fraser oversees the daily operations\, strategic planning\, business development\, continuous improvement\, and hospital culture for the more than 1\,300 employees\, 200 volunteers\, and 800 active staff physicians and allied health professionals. \nThroughout his career\, Fraser has overseen more than $125 million in construction projects and has been known for his collaborative leadership style that focuses on building partnerships with physicians and hospital staff to collectively enhance the care provided. \nFraser received his BBA in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and then his Masters in Health Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. He has worked as a consultant within Big 4 firms focused on strategic planning\, M&A\, and operational improvements. His strategy experience includes facilitation\, visioning\, strategy and operating model development. He has strong project management experience to coordinate complex initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups. \nKyle and his wife Amy live in Argyle\, Texas and have three teenage children. His interests are his family\, ranching\, fitness\, and beekeeping. He has spoken at various conferences over his career on strategy and M&A related topics.. \n  \n  \nSanjay K. Shetty\, MD\, MBA is the President of Steward Health Care System (North America). Steward is the largest privately held\, physician-owned\, and physician-led health system in the country\, with a focus on providing high quality\, high value care through its integrated healthcare delivery model. Shetty succeeded founder Dr. Ralph de la Torre to take executive leadership of domestic operations in March 2021\, including 35 acute care facilities\, a large multispecialty medical group\, and an integrated accountable care organization\, as well as numerous other healthcare entities comprising Steward’s innovative community care model. Shetty has served in leadership roles across each of Steward’s core business lines\, including as President of Steward Medical Group\, an 1\,800-provider multispecialty practice with providers in 11 states and as President of Steward’s ACO\, Steward Health Care Network\, where he was responsible for Steward’s quality and financial performance under alternative payment models. Most recently\, he served as President of the South Region (TX/LA/AR/FL)\, providing leadership over 12 acute care facilities with a focus on strategic growth and operations. Through these previous leadership roles\, he was instrumental in expanding Steward’s participation in value-based reimbursement models\, doubling of the size of the medical group through nationwide expansion and acquisition\, and engineering a turnaround of multiple acute care facilities that had been struggling prior to acquisition. \nA practicing radiologist\, Dr. Shetty has been actively involved in the state and national level activities of the American College of Radiology\, including as Past President of the Massachusetts Radiological Society and a past member of the ACR national Council Steering Committee. Other roles have included service as Chair of the national Resident and Fellows Section\, a member of the RADPAC Board\, and a course director for the Leadership Accelerator course at the RLI\, in additional to work on numerous national committees in economics\, government relations\, and membership. \nHe is an Associate Clinical Professor of Radiology at Tufts University School of Medicine and has authored numerous articles\, reviews\, editorials\, and book chapters\, in addition to co-authoring a review book in neuroradiology. Tesmer\, chief community and public policy officer\, has more than 30 years of experience in public policy and stakeholder relations. Joining Texas Health Resources in 1995\, he is responsible for providing the organization’s strategic direction in public policy\, stakeholder relations\, faith and spirituality integration\, community health improvement and north Texas healthy communities (Blue Zones Project Fort Worth). \nTesmer has held a variety of key leadership positions at the local\, state and national level including director emeritus and past chair of the North Texas Commission. He is past chair of the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce and Texas Hospital Association (THA) Political Action Committee (PAC) and the Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council’s Community Health Collaborative. He currently serves as chairman of the Government Affairs Committee of Premier Inc. (Washington D.C) and is a member of the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Multi-Hospital Policy Committee and the Texas 2036 Health Policy Workgroup. \nTesmer serves on the board of directors of the Trauma Center Association of America and the University of North Texas Health Science Center Academic Community Partnerships Advisory Board. Driscoll\, BSN\, MSN\, JD\, is an accomplished educator and senior healthcare leader; Pat Driscoll is the former President and CEO of Home Health Services of Texas\, Inc. Prior to stepping into the CEO role\, she served on the board of directors. She has more than 40 years of health care experience\, including work in her private legal practice and roles in a variety of clinical\, executive\, consultant\, and educational settings. Pat currently serves as Professor of Healthcare Administration at Texas Woman’s University. She was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for St. Paul Medical Center and served in managerial roles at Parkland Health and Hospital System and RHD Memorial Medical Center. Her passion for healthcare improvement is cemented firmly in her experience as the advocate and care navigator for her mom (oncology) and daughter (prematurity). As a young millennial female healthcare leader\, whose ethnicity and origin have ties to India\, Nigeria\, Canada\, and America\, Angela also believes in quietly and peacefully influencing an inclusive and equitable culture for all. \nFor over a decade\, Angela has engaged healthcare cross-functional teams with a strong focus on clinical quality improvement\, performance excellence\, project management and clinical analytics. He graduated from Internal Medicine residency training in 2003\, at which time he became involved with the clinical ethics consultation service at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC)\, and has provided numerous clinical ethics consultations since then. In 2004\, he and a team established the BUMC Palliative Care Consultation Service. Now known as the Supportive and Palliative Care Service\, the team was recognized for excellence by the American Hospital Association with a Circle of Life Citation of Honor in 2007. In 2011 Dr. Casanova took over responsibility as the Chairman of the Supportive and Palliative Care and the Institutional Ethics Committee at BUMC. In 2011 the BUMC Supportive and Palliative Care Service became the first palliative care program in Texas and one of the first 10 in the country to become Joint Commission certified. He continues to maintain a component of his general Internal Medicine practice. Dr. Casanova lectures on issues related to clinical ethics and palliative medicine\, and has also lobbied the Texas state legislature on similar topics\, on behalf of the field of medicine and patients.  Additionally\, Dr. Casanova enjoys involvement with organized medicine\, to include being the 2020 president of the Dallas County Medical Society\, as well as serving on multiple councils and committees of the Texas Medical Association. Most recently\, during the COVID-19 pandemic\, Dr. Casanova had served on a variety of advisory committees\, including at the Dallas County level\, up to the State level\, serving on the TMA COVID-19 Taskforce. \n  \nShannon Huggins is currently Senior Vice President\, Contract Strategy and Population Health for Methodist Health System. She began with Methodist in 2002 and has responsibilities for non-governmental payor contracting and relations on behalf of Methodist facilities\, joint venture organizations\, transplantation services\, Accountable Care Organization / CIN and physician groups.  Additionally she has operational responsibilities for the population health services.   She also oversees the bundled payment projects within Methodist Health System.  Shannon has designed and implemented contracting and pricing strategies for Methodist.  MPCACO has successfully achieved for Medicare over $100 million in savings for the 8 years in participating in this program – an achievement only 14 other ACOs across the nation also have.  The ACO also performed in the top quartile of ACOs who achieved savings in quality metrics. \nShannon has over 29 years of experience in contracting\, payor relations\, population health\, financial analysis and decision support.  Prior to Methodist\, Shannon served in several roles at Baylor All Saints (formerly All Saints Health System) in Ft. Worth and various roles in a profit hospital organization. She has served on various civic boards and is currently President of the Alumni Association for her alma mater the University of the Ozarks.  Civically\, she was selected to be in Leadership Dallas class of 2014.  Also\, Shannon currently serves on several Board of Directors as a representative for Methodist Health System.  She earned her BS in Marketing/Finance from University of the Ozarks and her MS in HealthCare Administration from Texas Woman’s University. \n  \nJerri A. Locke currently serves as the director of Healthy Aging at Methodist Health System in Dallas\, a position she has held for more than 20 years. Her career includes teaching elementary school\, sales and marketing at AT&T\, working with individuals with disabilities\, all which provided the foundation for her current position with Methodist. \nDuring her tenure at Methodist Health System\, she has used the opportunity to improve the health and welfare of the older adults in the community by offering a wide variety of programs. The goal of all programs is to keep the older adults engaged\, educated\, and connecting with others. \nRather than view the pandemic as a barrier\, the Methodist Generations members have had access to 30 -40 different programs each month all via Zoom. Classes have ranged from drawing to organizing to health and education presentations. \nShe recently presented at the National Council on Aging on “Isolation is Killing our Older Adults” and “Staying Relevant in a Changing Aging World”.  \nJerri is continually looking for ways to increase the number of participants by finding unique topics and services of interest to the members. Within the next five years\, she hopes to find new partners to enhance the mission of the healthcare system\, embracing the goals of the ACA\, and recognizing the challenges of a quickly growing aging society as the Baby Boomers age. \n  \nNiki D. Shah\, MHSA\, MBA\, CCHW\, is the Vice President of Community Health at Baylor Scott & White Health.  Niki is an experienced healthcare executive with the passion\, ambition and skills to transform communities and improve outcomes through innovation\, partnerships\, strategic development and focused execution. \n  \n  \n  \n  \nPaula Turicchi\, FACHE is the Chief Strategy Officer at Parkland Community Health Plan. \nParkland Community Health Plan offers Medicaid (STAR/CHIP) managed care to more than 200\,000 members in a seven-county area in and around Dallas.  In her role\, Paula strives to make a difference for patients and their families by strengthening the business of the organization through processes\, systems\, partnerships\, and new ventures. She has a passion for finding innovative ways to eliminate barriers to care\, including financial\, language\, health literacy\, and housing challenges.  She has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry and previously served as the vice president of hospital operations and administrator of Women and Infant’s Specialty Health (WISH) at Parkland Health & Hospital System\, where she oversaw operations for one of the largest maternity services in the United States. In addition\, Paula was instrumental in the design and construction of the new Parkland Hospital facility and the Moody Center for Breast Health. Paula was a 2018 Texas Hospital Association Leadership Fellow and has co-authored several journal articles in collaboration with UT Southwestern physicians. Ms. Colón leads SCP Health’s robust Emergency Medicine\, Hospital Medicine\, and Critical Care Medicine Practice Management services. Ms. Colón is also responsible for deploying Telehealth Solutions and overseeing eHealth implementation across the company’s core services for hospitals and health systems. She maintains oversight and overall accountability for her clients’ clinical performance\, quality care\, operational excellence\, and financial stability. \nMs. Colón has served in various roles in the healthcare field. Her background includes development of a physician outreach program with a major health insurance carrier\, managing multi-specialty and multi-site physician practices in emergency medicine\, academic hospital medicine programs\, private hospital medicine programs\, transitional care medicine\, eHealth/TeleNocturnist programs\, and post-acute practices (SNFs/LTACs). \nMs. Colón formerly served as Senior Vice President for one of the largest independent physician practices in Texas. While there\, she was responsible for the oversight of the company’s operations\, contracting\, business development\, marketing\, recruiting\, and healthcare payment reform programs\, which included CMS’ Bundled Payment Care Initiative (BPCI) Program. \nA graduate of Nova Southeastern University\, Ms. Colón holds a Master of Business Administration\, with a concentration in Management. She earned a Bachelor of Health Administration from the University of North Florida. She is also a Fellow and active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She holds an elected Board of Directors position with the North Texas Chapter of ACHE and served previously as Vice-Chair for the Diversity & Inclusion Committee. \n  \nAlexandra Cohen is the Chief Product Officer at HeyRenee. She is an MPA and MBA-educated leader with 20 years of experience working on innovative solutions within the healthcare\, insurance\, and online advertising industries. Strong data strategy and management experience. Strong leadership\, strategy\, system architecture\, product management and operations expertise. Known for innovative process development\, ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders\, agility in navigating organizational complexities and skill in evaluating potential projects and solutions. \n  \n  \nKathi Cox is the Senior Vice President of Integrated Experience at Texas Health Resources.  Kathi has worked in a variety of roles at Texas Health for over 28 years including hospital operations\, information technology and patient and family experience.  This diverse background has provided her a wealth of knowledge across the continuum of care that has been paramount to her current work which is to provide a seamless experience for consumers across the Texas Health ecosystem.  Kathi is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and holds an MBA from Western Governors University.  In her spare time you will find her playing board games with friends\, smoking meat or in the fall cheering on her Texas Longhorns or Dallas Cowboys. \n  \n  \n  \nStephanie Wells servers as the Director of Patient Experience at Methodist Health System. Stephanie leads the survey strategy\, analyzing and reporting of patient experience data\, the implementation and execution of patient experience initiatives\, as well as the evaluation and sustainment of patient experience best practices. \nStephanie spent the first ten years of her career as a critical care nurse after receiving a BS in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Stephanie’s experience as a nurse inspired her passion for improving the experiences that patients have in healthcare. She received a MS in Nursing Leadership and Innovation from Baylor University which lead to an opportunity to work in Patient Experience at MHS. \nStephanie lives in Lucas with her husband of thirteen years and two boys\, 4 and 7 years old.
