Wilson is the President of the Children’s Hospital Association of Texas.  She has more than 20 years of experience in health policy and law\, working on a variety of issues ranging from healthcare finance to behavioral health to telemedicine.  Ms. Wilson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984 and from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 1987.  She began her law practice at Haynes and Boone\, L.L.P. in Dallas in 1987 and\, since then\, has worked in healthcare policy development\, health law\, and health reimbursement in the public and private sector\, including at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission\, the Teacher Retirement System of Texas\, and most recently as Vice President and Associate General Counsel for the Texas Hospital Association.  She is a frequent speaker on the Texas Legislature and issues affecting hospitals and works closely with policymakers on issues of importance to hospitals. \nSpeakers: \nDavid Berry\, MS\, FACHE\nPresident\, System Clinical Operations\nChildren’s Health System of Texas\n\nJames C. Cunningham\, M.D.\nExecutive Vice President/Chief Medical Officer\nCook Children’s Health Care System \nDr. Jim Cunningham currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Cook Children’s Health Care System in Fort Worth\, Texas.  Cook Children’s is a non-profit\, integrated pediatric health care delivery organization consisting of a Medical Center\, Physician Network\, Home Health company\, Health Plan\, and a Health Foundation. \nDr. Cunningham is a native Texan\, having been born and raised in Texas.  He graduated from Texas A&M University before attending medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.  He completed an internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City\, followed by a Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at the University of Arizona. \nDr. Cunningham was initially recruited to Cook Children’s as Medical Director of Pulmonary Medicine and Co-Director of the Fort Worth Cystic Fibrosis Center.  Over the years he held numerous positions of Physician and Administrative Leadership\, ultimately becoming Medical Director for Cook Children’s Medical Center\, prior to assuming his current role as EVP/CMO of Cook Children’s Health Care System. \nDr. Cunningham has remained active in leadership at local\, regional\, and national levels\, and has remained active in clinical medicine and pediatric research.  His book “An Introduction to Cystic Fibrosis for Patients and Families” is now in its sixth edition and is now published in several different languages. \nJim is married and has two sons\, a daughter\, and three granddaughters. \n  \n \nBill Lee\, MBA\, MHA\nChief Executive Officer\nMedical City Children’s Hospital \nLee was named chief executive officer at Medical City Children’s Hospital on May 1\, 2017 and touts more than 25 years of healthcare experience. In addition\, he also serves as the chief executive for Medical Center Dallas – Women’s Hospital. \nSince 2010\, he has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah\, Georgia\, a 604-bed combined adult and children’s hospital. Lee also served as Chief Administrator for the Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah\, where he led a $20 million capital campaign to design and build a replacement facility for their children’s hospital\, scheduled to open in 2019. \nLee previously served as President and Executive Director of The Children’s Health Network\, an 800 member physician-hospital organization affiliated with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for 10 years. Additionally\, he held leadership positions within Hospital Corporation of America\, including at Eastside Medical Center\, and at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. \nLee has represented pediatric healthcare issues at a state and regional level with the Georgia Hospital Association\, Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics\, the Pediatric Healthcare Improvement Coalition of Georgia\, and as a member of the Georgia Board of Physician Workforce. His passion for improving the health status for kids also includes an active board leadership role in Safe Kids of Georgia\, Ronald McDonald House Charities\, March of Dimes\, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. \nHe holds a Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University\, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. \nLee is married to Liane for 25 years and has two children\, Evan and Lauren. \n\nRobert L. “Bob” Walker\, FACHE\nPresident and Chief Executive Officer\nScottish Rite Hospital \nBob Walker joined Scottish Rite Hospital in 1979. He previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer and was named president and chief executive officer in 2012. In his role\, Bob is responsible for the overall strategic and operational direction of the hospital and continuing its position as one of the top-ranked pediatric orthopedic hospitals in the world. He works closely with the Board of Trustees\, medical staff\, and executive leadership to ensure that the highest degree of medical care is provided to the hospital’s pediatric patients. \nBob serves on the board of the Texas Hospital Association and has previously served on its Executive and Audit committees. He is a member of the Texas Hospital Association Foundation board\, the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board\, and the Children’s Hospital Association Public Policy Committee. Bob is past board chairman of the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council and currently serves as an ex-officio. He served for many years on the Shelton School and Evaluation Center board where he also served as chairman. Bob also serves on the executive committee of the BMW Dallas Marathon. He is a member of the advisory boards of The Ronald McDonald House and Camp John Marc. \nA native of Garland\, Texas\, Bob earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M University-Commerce)\, and his Master of Health Care Administration degree from Trinity University. Bob has been honored by both Garland High School and Texas A&M University-Commerce as an Outstanding Alumnus. He is a past recipient of the Dean Leonard A. Duce Award for Excellence in Healthcare awarded by the Trinity University department of healthcare administration.
