In this role\, she oversees the BRG Mentorship Programs\, leads Business Resource Groups through signature event planning\, facilitates DEI trainings\, and writes and edits content for 3 internal DEI publications. Before she came to UT Southwestern\, Mary practiced in the field of immigration law for nearly a decade\, and worked at a manufacturing company where she helped to develop the company’s first-ever DEI committee and programming. She holds a J.D. from Washington University School of Law. She is a proud mom to 9-month-old Audrey and dog mom to a 3-year-old\, 8-pound fluff ball named Teddy. \n  \n  \n  \nKeneshia Colwell is the Senior Diversity & Inclusion Specialist for the Office of Institutional & Access. She is responsible for ensuring that diversity and inclusion are essential components of UT Southwestern’s tripartite mission to discover\, educate\, and heal through intentional high-impact programming\, facilitating education and skill-building trainings\, furthering institutional community outreach efforts\, assisting with management of UTSW’s six business resource groups\, and serving as the creative engineer for our division’s ‘Uncovered’ employee podcast. Prior to her current role\, Keneshia worked as an Equal Opportunity Specialist conducting workplace investigations\, provided religious and disability related accommodations\, and facilitated trainings for leaders and managers. Keneshia also spent time at UT Austin helping handle employee experience concerns in the Office for Inclusion and Equity. In addition to her professional experience\, Keneshia is a graduating master’s student at Southern Methodist University focusing on the role religion plays in social injustice. \n  \nSharbari Dey is the Director for Diversity and Inclusion in the Office of Institutional Equity and Access at UT Southwestern. In this role she brings expertise in facilitation\, policy impacts on employee lifecycle and designing evidence-based initiatives to advance high trust environments in the workplace. Her areas of interest include gender/racial equity\, diversity metrics\, professional learning and development of equitable policies. Prior to UT Southwestern\, Sharbari worked in diversity roles at three large public higher education institutions: Louisiana State University\, Virginia Tech and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has also worked in the corporate D&I environment overseeing global programs across Asia\, Australia\, Europe and Africa. Dey has MSWs from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in India and Louisiana State University\, and her doctoral degree from North Carolina State University in Educational Leadership Policy and Human Development. \n  \n  \nTatiana Gonzalez is an intern with the Division of Diversity and Inclusion. She has two years of experience as a care coordinator and has a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Florida. She is now pursuing a master’s degree in health administration at UNTHSC. She believes that the healthcare system can build trust with the community through diversity\, equity\, and inclusion. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here
